Free Autism Materials: Video Reinforcers

It is very easy to prepare a file of video reinforcers from www.youtube.com. You can either copy the URL from the video page (see first three examples below) or copy the "embed" code offered on many videos so a picture to click on appears (see examples below). You can also make personalized video reinforcers using photographs of your child and animations available for free (see examples below). Some advantages of using these are that they are free, you can control the length of the reinforcer by choosing shorter or longer clips, you can have the child ask (mand) for them to be replayed, they are portable (if you have access to the internet on your phone), and they can be tailored to your child's interests. Note that you can control volume and size of picture (full screen) with the buttons on the bottom of the picture. Here are some video clips that I think are reinforcing. Enjoy!
